How ironic, we enter Holy Week through the Liturgy of the Palms [well, here in north Idaho, Pine branches......hey they start with a P], to celebrate Jesus's short lived triumphant entry into Jerusalem. An entry that He knew was positively going to lead to His death. And the Churches of the world celebrate that event [sort of] from all their safe spaces around the world! Is that ironic or what? Thanks be to God that Jesus did not decide to stay in His safe space. If He had, we would not have a Holy Week to celebrate. More seriously, we would not be a people reconciled to God, and we would not have the hope of eternal life in the New Jerusalem.
